Description/Story:

MAZA SUN FADI Complete Document Written By Abdulaziz Sani Madakin Gini

Description

On a scorching hot day, the sun shone brightly, but it did not deter the bustling activity in the city. People continued to move about, buying and selling in the market. Amidst the crowd, a young boy, not older than ten years, was spotted crawling towards the market, his body drenched in blood, a painful smile on his face. It was evident that he was struggling to make his way forward, gasping for breath. He collapsed in the middle of the market, clutching his stomach.

Upon seeing the distressed boy, people gathered around, but no one stepped forward to help. An old man quickly approached, assisting the boy to sit up and giving him water. With shock on his face, the old man recognized the boy as Shubairu and asked who had hurt him. Shubairu bravely recounted how he narrowly escaped from a group of attackers, warning that they were a significant threat and would kill everyone in the town and take their belongings.

The news spread rapidly, causing panic among the marketgoers, who fled to secure their goods and warn others in the town. The old man hurried back to his home, mounted his horse, and rode to inform his son Huzairu about the dire situation and urged him to quickly tend to Shubairu's wounds.

Shubairu knew he might not see the old man again and bid him a tearful farewell. He had sacrificed himself to distract the attackers and buy enough time for his brother and others to escape safely.

Meanwhile, Huzairu, a seasoned warrior, prepared himself with a sword and shield, positioning himself on a platform in the market. The old man recognized him as the former Sadaukin warrior, tall and still full of vigor despite his age of over seventy.

As the attackers approached, fear gripped the old man's heart, not for his life but for the potential destruction they could bring to their small village. The village was known as HIDAIMAT, located on the beach, and the old man, Kalmaru, was its founding member. He had been a renowned deputy warlord in the city of Zamar until he renounced violence and dedicated himself to a life of peace.

The approaching attackers included Hamsaru, the king of war, who was once Kalmaru's cousin. Jealousy and rivalry had strained their relationship over the years. Kalmaru's sons, Shubairu and Huzairu, were being trained for war at the palace, adding complexity to the family dynamics.

Despite the impending danger, the old man remained steadfast, ready to face the attackers to protect his beloved village. The fate of HIDAIMAT hung in the balance, and Kalmaru's determination symbolized the courage of a seasoned warrior, willing to stand against the odds for his home and loved ones.

As it turned out, Hamsaru proved to be superior in terms of strength and combat prowess, surpassing the abilities of his brother. However, Kalmaru, their father, shared a different perspective. He admired his other son for his good fortune, tenacity, and unwavering determination. The younger brother fearlessly faced any risks in war and never held back, even when faced with numerous enemies.

As Kalmaru grew older, he could no longer actively participate in battles and left the responsibility of warfare to his sons. When both Hamsaru and the younger brother were called by King Barham, the ruler asked Kalmaru to choose which son he believed was the best fit to lead in his stead.

Despite his deep affection for Hamsaru in his heart, Kalmaru recognized that the younger brother possessed a unique set of qualities that made him equally valuable. The younger brother's strength lay in his unyielding spirit, which drove him to persist even in the face of daunting challenges.

When King Barham presented this matter to Kalmaru, he found himself in a state of confusion. He could not easily pick between his sons, as both were exceptional in their own ways.

Kalmaru's dilemma stemmed from the fear of creating conflict between Hamsaru and the younger brother. He did not wish to show any favoritism that might lead to division within the family.

After contemplating the decision for some time, Kalmaru raised his head and spoke to King Barham, stating that Hamsaru was undoubtedly a more formidable force with exceptional combat abilities. However, he believed that the younger brother's unique strengths, such as his resilience and indomitable spirit, outweighed those of Hamsaru.

Ultimately, Kalmaru refused to make a choice between his sons, as he believed that both of them were deserving in their own right. He concluded that it was not his place to decide who was better, as both Hamsaru and the younger brother had their distinctive strengths and qualities that made them exceptional warriors.
