Description/Story:

MIJIN ALJANAH Complete Document Written By King Boy Isa

Description

She trembled under the blanket, her heart pounding loudly in her chest. The room felt suffocating as fear consumed her. The sound of the door creaking open was enough to send chills down her spine. She tried to convince herself that it was just her imagination, that there was no one there. But the feeling of being watched was too real.

As the seconds passed, the silence in the room became unbearable. She dared not move or make a sound, afraid that whatever was outside might hear her. The figure she saw in the yard replayed in her mind like a haunting nightmare. Red eyes, disheveled hair, and a terrifying grin with teeth that seemed almost inhuman.

The sound of footsteps filled the air, drawing closer to her room. Her heart pounded louder, and she bit her lip to prevent any sound from escaping. The figure was now right outside her door. Panic surged through her veins, and she clutched the blanket tighter, trying to hide herself further.

The door handle rattled, and she held her breath. The door slowly creaked open, revealing a dark silhouette. It felt like time stood still, and all she could do was watch in horror. A chilling voice echoed through the room, sending shivers down her spine.

"I know you're in there," the voice whispered, dripping with malevolence.

She couldn't bear it any longer. Fear gave way to courage, and she found her voice, "Who are you? What do you want?"

The figure stepped forward, and the dim light revealed a face twisted with malice. "I am the darkness that lurks in your dreams," the voice replied cryptically. "I've come for what's mine."

Terror consumed her, but she refused to back down. "I won't let you take anything from me," she said, trying to sound brave.

The figure chuckled darkly. "You can't escape your fate, my dear. You are destined to be with me."

Desperation fueled her, and she looked around for something, anything that could help her escape. Then, she saw it—a small statue of a deity on her dresser. Without a second thought, she grabbed it and held it in front of her like a makeshift weapon.

"I won't let you take me!" she shouted, her voice shaking.

The figure laughed mockingly, but something in her defiance seemed to give it pause. It took a step back, as if unsure how to proceed. She took this momentary hesitation as an opportunity and bolted for the window.

With adrenaline coursing through her veins, she pushed the window open and leaped out into the night. She didn't know where she was going, but she couldn't stay in that house any longer. As she ran through the darkness, she could still feel the presence behind her, lurking in the shadows.

Her heart raced, her breaths came in quick gasps, but she refused to stop. She had to get away, to find safety. As she ran, the night seemed to stretch on forever, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being pursued.

Finally, she reached a busy street with people milling about. She felt a glimmer of hope as she approached a group of strangers. She tried to tell them what had happened, but the words caught in her throat. They looked at her with concern, unable to comprehend her fear.

Shaken and disoriented, she found her way to the nearest police station. Her hands trembled as she recounted the terrifying events of the night. The officers listened attentively, but she could see doubt in their eyes.

"We'll investigate the matter, ma'am," one of the officers assured her. "But it might have just been a figment of your imagination, a product of fear and stress."

She knew what she saw was real, but she also knew that no one would believe her. The memory of that malevolent figure would forever haunt her. From that night on, she lived in constant fear, afraid to be alone in the darkness, always looking over her shoulder.

Whatever it was that had come for her that night, she couldn't escape the feeling that it would return. And so, she remained vigilant, haunted by the knowledge that some horrors can't be outrun, and some nightmares are all too real.
